Crowland Show on Saturday 30th June 2012

A great day out for all the family. We have horse events starting at 8.30am continuing through the days in rings 2-6.  We have included some new events and have changed some of our affiliations.  Please see the Horse Section for further details and entry forms.  Horse events will continue throughout the day providing a spectacular display of horses of all sizes from Minature ponies to Heavy horses.  The culmination of these events takes the form of the Supreme of Show competition due to begin at 4.30pm, where the best of each category will compete to win the Mrs Whalley Memorial Trophy for Best in Show.

During the day there will be a variety of activities going on, a 12km  run will take place in the morning. Leaving from the second arena a group of keen athletes will begin a 12km run through and around Crowland. There will also be musical entertainment in the Refreshment tent area in the afternoon as well as a Clown.

We will have the WI marquee where you can join in and enter an exhibit or just come and admire the crafts and skills.

We will also have a shopping area under cover with a variety of stalls including cheese, jewellry, fashions, homeware.

For those particularly interested in animals there will also be Dog Show in the afternoon, and NEW for 2012 there will be some Dog Agility demonstrations by Newborough Canine Hydrotherapy Centre.  For the more mechanically minded a grand display of Vintage Vehicles, including Farm Machinery and Cars with a drive through in and around Crowland in the afternoon.

The Crowland show is a non-profit making organisation and the profits from the show are returned to the community by donation to some of the smaller local charities we have here within Crowland.
